Accompanied by his wife Jill, Joe Biden takes a bike ride and makes sure of his health

Joe and Jill Biden were (almost) alone on the beach staring into the water. On Sunday, the American presidential couple took a bike ride to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, and enjoyed a day of family rest. Joe Biden, who was surrounded by Secret Service bodyguards but also pursued by photographers, didn’t stop to answer questions from the press. However, he didn’t fail to smile at the media in attendance, simply throwing “How are you?” at them.

This sporting stroll is not insignificant, as the American President’s opponents regularly question his health, saying he is too weak or ill to rule. The latter has recently contracted Covid-19, for which he has been successfully treated. He, too, caused a few questions last June after a fall on a similar bike tour. The seventy-year-old had finished his race on the ground. The White House was quick to communicate on the matter: “As the President explained, his foot got caught in the pedal when he got off his bike and he’s fine. No medical assistance is required. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”

Joe Biden, who is believed to still be suffering from a persistent cough from Covid-19, arrived in South Carolina last Wednesday to spend most of the week at Kiawah Island, a beachfront golf resort he is in has visited in the past. In addition to Jill Biden, other family members were with him at the scene on Sunday.
