ABC host David Speers and his wife Liz Taggart-Speers have put their family home in Melbourne on the market with a list price of between $2 million and $2.2 million.

The two-storey Art Deco property in Alphington, 9.9 km from the CBD, will go under the hammer on October 1st.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom 1930s home was purchased by the couple in 2019 for $1.84 million, reports the Herald Sun.

In 2020, Speers published On Mutiny, which was about how the Liberal Party was trying to replace Malcolm Turnbull with Scott Morrison as Prime Minister.
