Aaron Rodgers left the Packers ‘disgusted’ over his lack of effort and the team is ‘DONE’

The Green Bay Packers are “disgusted” and “devastated” by multiple-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, according to longtime Packers reporter Bob McGinn.

McGinn, who covered the Packers with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and the Green Bay Press-Gazette for nearly 40 years before his retirement in 2017, was speaking on a podcast for GoLongTD.com when he said his “instincts” had him led to believe the Packers are preparing to part ways with their longtime signal caller.

“Right now, I’m convinced — based on my own instincts and knowing the NFL and knowing what happens after all these losses and discussions with someone who knows this organization and the Packers’ internal debates firsthand — that they do.” We’re done with Rodgers,” McGinn said.

“So it is now that he is not coming back. They are disgusted with him and they are done with him and move on. That’s going to involve money and a trading partner and all sorts of things.

“I’m adamant that he won’t be their starting quarterback this year. Then again, they love Jordan Love. You think this is the second time he’s come.

“They’ve seen enough in practice for three years that they think he’s like Rodgers 2.0. That’s where this organization is coming from now.

“They have turned the page just like they did with Favre in June and July, those months in the summer of 2008 and I see no change.”

Rodgers has been the subject of rampant trade speculation as many expect him to don a new uniform if he decides to continue playing in the NFL next season.

He was most liked with trades to the New York Jets or the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Jets, who appear to be more than a quarterback away from a serious playoff run, also just hired Nathaniel Hackett.

Before his absolute trainwreck as head coach of the Denver Broncos, where he was fired before the end of his freshman season, Hackett spent three years as offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers and coached Rodgers to the statistically best seasons of his legendary career.

In Las Vegas, on the other hand, superstar Davante Adams has already begun recruiting Rodgers after the two formed one of the NFL’s strongest duos while playing together in Green Bay.

WHAT IS A DARK RETREAT?

According to the Hermitage Retreat website – it is unknown if the Rodgers company is involved – a dark retreat is “an unparalleled experience of intense seclusion in which the practitioner is deprived of all light and sensory distractions and thus plunges into a deep witnessing.” consciousness of spirit and finally experiences the perception of the inner light of pure consciousness.

“Retreating into total darkness is a practice common to many of the ancient and contemporary spiritual traditions around the world.

“From the monks and lamas of Tibet to the Kogi Mamos of Colombia; to the ancient Egyptians and the mystics of 15th-century France, dark retreats have brought revelation and enlightenment to countless practitioners seeking inner light.’

Each request to participate in a Darkness request is considered individually. Participants receive two vegan meals per day.

Rodgers will embark on a four-day “dark retreat” this weekend, during which he is expected to decide his future.

There’s always a chance he’ll choose to stay in Green Bay, but as McGinn alluded, he doesn’t think that’s a viable option.

“Even if Rodgers comes back to collect that $59 million, I think he’s the reinforcement,” McGinn continued.

‘He could try to ruin the whole operation. But he knows that won’t happen, and he will accept a trade somewhere. He knows he can’t live with that, with the Packers fans and everyone else. It’s love’s turn.

“The organization is going this way. And this is how it looks. Everyone is, I’m told. That is [team president Mark] Murphy. That is [head coach Matt] La Fleur. That is [GM Brian] good art. That’s the whole shooting game.

“You turned the page. They no longer see Rodgers as a guy who works really hard. You’re looking at a guy whose body — as he reported this year — wasn’t as so-called “toned” and strong as it was. You see a guy who screwed up the offseason last year. …you’re done. It’s a tough guy to deal with.’

However, McGinn’s comments contradict what the Packers leadership has said publicly.

“We made a big commitment to him last off-season, so I think we didn’t just do that for this year,” Gutekunst said in January, referring to an extension Rodgers signed a year ago and the Packer binds him to the club until 2026.

Last week, team president Mark Murphy also told ESPN’s Dianna Russini that Rodgers has the ball if he wants to return to the Packers and that the team is hoping for a decision by the time free agency begins in March.
