A visibly still bitter 49ers player

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk remains visibly bitter after his team’s loss to the Eagles and is confident the Philadelphia club will lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

“If I had to bet on this game, I would take everything I own and put my money on the Chiefs,” the Niners rep said in an interview on TheSFNiners podcast.

“You have to be lucky to win a Super Bowl and [les Eagles] got really lucky just last week. Can they really be that lucky twice in a row?” Aiyuk added.

In the Finals of the National, the Eagles defeated the 49ers 31-7. The California team lost quarterback Brock Purdy’s services in the first quarter. His backup, Josh Johnson, was also injured in the third quarter, forcing Purdy back into the fray. However, the newcomer failed to kick the ball.

Before this setback, the “Niners” had won 12 straight games.

“We have a very talented football team,” said Aiyuk when assessing the players in his formation. We have by far the best team in the NFL!”

“We felt like it was our year and we didn’t reach the promised land. That makes me sick…”

Coming back to the next Super Bowl game, Aiyuk believes it’s the Eagles defense that won’t be able to deliver the goods.

“I don’t really believe in this defensive unit,” he said. They say it’s a good defense, but I’m not sure. I believe the Kansas City Air Attack will be able to take advantage of what we thought we could take advantage of before we got unlucky.”

The Eagles and Chiefs meet on February 12 at State Farm Stadium.
