A violent explosion rocks an entire neighborhood

The suspicious explosion of a Porsche in a car park in Boisbriand on Monday morning literally shook an entire neighborhood where residents are used to quiet.

Citizens who were woken from their sleep around 3:30 a.m. contacted 911 on Monday when they found a major fire had broken out on rue des Francs-Bourgeois.

Affected by a suspicious explosion, this Porsche is a total loss after being ravaged by flames.  The fire happened around 3.30am on Monday in a car park in Boisbriand.

A Porsche is believed to have exploded before falling victim to the imposing flames that rose very high into the sky.

“I went out to check my garden. I just saw a lot of fire,” says Justin Archambault, whose car was only a few meters away from the one targeted.

The 19-year-old young man states that the burned-out vehicle is regularly parked in this parking lot. However, when we passed, all that was left was the carcass, eaten away by the flames.

Shocked but safe

For his part, Stéphane Jeuken claims to have seen a man dressed in black who quickly left the scene of the crime.

“Shortly after the explosion, a gentleman ran into our alley, describing someone who has lived in the area for several years. Talk about an hour jog…”

Most of the residents interviewed by Le Journal said they were shaken by the severity of the event but still felt safe.

“I don’t think it’s dangerous. It’s quiet, emphasizes Bruno Landry. Late in the evening I go for a walk with my partner. »

The Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville indicated that they were collaborating with other police organizations as this event could be linked to other crimes that have taken place in different areas.

“It’s a signature that we recognize,” spokesman Martin Charron said.

No injuries were reported to the authorities.
