There hasn’t been a new accessibility-centric accessory from Microsoft since the XAC, or long-form Xbox Adaptive Controller. Four years later, the company introduces a new range that enriches the selection. A collection of multiple peripherals that allow to have a customizable ecosystem according to the needs of each one. So it’s a whole versatile set that should Arriving in autumn 2022 !
The Seattle giant designed the range in collaboration with the community. These are three elements that form the starting point: an adaptive mouse, buttons and a hub. The idea is to be able to adapt to its periphery using 3D printing. For example, the mouse can be supplemented with a tail or thumb rest, increasing the range of possibilities. The hub, meanwhile, allows you to connect up to three additional peripherals, as well as 4 adaptive buttons, via USB-C or wirelessly. For now, compatibility with both Microsoft Surface and PCs has been announced. Note that there is no other mainstream company investing as much in this space. Let’s give Caesar what’s Caesar’s. We’re still hoping it comes to the Xbox Series X | S will be extended where the public is waiting for them too!
