“Particularly proud” of being on stage, he revealed his feelings on Tuesday afternoon at the microphone of Sophie Durocher on QUB Radio.

It was pride in living off his passion and representing his hometown that made Mr. Dhaiti accept Rihanna’s offer. The dancer is part of a team that has been rehearsing tirelessly since the beginning of the year, six days a week for about a month and a half – a strenuous and demanding project that he believes has been fully worthwhile.

“I’m sure I’ll remember it for the rest of my life,” said James Dhaiti, who says his phone hasn’t stopped ringing since Sunday night when all his friends went to congratulate him. “It’s thirteen minutes, but the thirteen minutes goes by in two seconds. […] They say to themselves, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I was part of that moment that everyone got to see on TV!’” argued Mr Dhaiti.

James Dahïti, who has been a fan of Rihanna for years, will be taking some time off before returning to work in the coming weeks.
