A drunk driver caught entering the Seville-Portugal highway in the opposite direction

The Civil Guards of Seville’s transport subsector could not believe it: right in front of them, straight ahead, in the lane from which the A-49 motorway departs towards Tomares and Coca de la Piñera (according to Camas), he had been circling in the opposite direction a dark Opel Insignia slowly on one of the busiest streets of the Andalusian capital. Everything is captured on video:

-Where are you going, where are you going…? the agents call.

The driver, despite already having the vehicle practically above him, throws all sorts of warnings at it, does not stop and even, at a slower speed than before, makes the maneuver to enter the Seville-Portugal highway in kamikaze mode, a maneuver that , if done, would have resulted in the intrusion of one or two lanes in the attempt as a 180º turn was required. Quickly, one of the agents gets out of the police car and manages to stop the maneuver while what he says with his hands is almost understood.

More information

One of the agents went to the driver’s window to ask him how he made this mistake, realizing at that time “that this person was driving under the influence of alcohol”, for which he was subjected to several tests: “During the mandatory measurements , all of which were positive, almost doubled the minimum rate,” the Guardia Civil writes in a note.

The officials parked the vehicle in a safe area and denounced the driver for driving the wrong way and a positive breathalyser test, “with a proposal for the loss of 10 points and 1,000 euros”. The video provided by the armed institute shows how the car is already returning correctly to Tomares through exit 1-B.
