In the final minute of the Carolina Hurricanes’ 5-2 win at the expense of the Minnesota Wild, the former Montreal Canadiens captain injured his right leg in a harmless move. He had to be escorted off the ice and was unable to put weight on his leg.

“We don’t know more at the moment, but it doesn’t bode well, sorry the Canes’ head coach, Rod Brind’Amour, after the duel. I hope it’s not as bad as we think, but I’m not very optimistic.”

The hockey gods appear to have their hearts set on “Max Pac,” who has just returned to action after going under the knife during the offseason to recover from an Achilles tendon injury.

He has scored three goals in five games with the Hurricanes this season.

Remember he was acquired by the Vegas Golden Knights last July in exchange for future consideration.
