As affordable housing becomes scarce in Montreal, a supporter of the Canadian is looking to ingenuity to find a place to stay. In the bleachers at Bell Center, he held up a sign that read, “Looking for 3 1⁄2 for rent, about $700.”

During Thursday night’s game between the Habs and the Florida Panthers, the fan was obviously photographed with his original shield, to say the least. The photo was then shared on Reddit, where it quickly went viral. His post was shared more than 100 times on Facebook and received 700 reactions.
“The Canadian has a better chance of winning the cup this year than he finds a 3 1/2 at this price…” one surfer quipped under the publication.
However, the sign could pay off: some people claimed under the publication that they had an apartment available. “I rent my 5 1/2 between $800 and $850 per person,” responded one owner.
