A 4th woman would have been killed since the beginning of the year

The 60-year-old, found lifeless in her Montreal apartment on Sunday afternoon, would be the fourth woman to be killed in Quebec since the beginning of the year if the murder theory is confirmed.

“You teach me! I always walk around here on my way home from work. It’s really shocking to know that someone would have been killed right there, ”starts Manon Nozahic in an interview with the Journal, pointing to a building on the corner of Querbes and Liège streets.

A woman was found dead in this apartment building in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension neighborhood of Montreal around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. An imposing security perimeter, consisting of more than a dozen police cars, attracted many curious onlookers at the end of the day.

“It’s a red light district. We are used to seeing the police for crimes in the area. We even bought pizza to come and watch. But we didn’t think anyone was dead,” admits young Marco, accompanied by his friend Yandel.

investigation still ongoing

At the time this text was published, the SPVM had not yet confirmed the thesis of a homicide on Sunday evening. According to our sources, however, the sixty-year-old would have been a murder victim. It would be the fourth woman killed in the province since the beginning of the year.

“My son’s friend lives in this building. Mache Malik, who was crossed near the scene of the crime, said he heard a violent fight before the police arrived. We’re in the Parc Extension, it’s never quiet here. It’s scary to see things like that, especially on a Sunday night.”

According to witnesses met by our representative, the victim lived with his daughters in their 60s. Note that investigators and forensic identification technicians were still on the scene around 9 p.m. Sunday to find out more about this mysterious tragedy.
