Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid spends $25,000 on a lavish celebration during the Sixers’ 137-133 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
After converting a one-and-one bucket, Embiid addressed the crowd and went way back in time to hype the fans.

He kicked the old Triple H/Shaun Michaels celebration out of their D-Generation X days.

NBA fined for “an obscene gesture on the field”.
Kevin Durant, who was inactive Wednesday, tweeted it was a “trash celebration.”
Embiid laughed at that.

It’s Embiid’s fourth penalty of the season. The previous three were each worth $2,000 for technical fouls, one of which occurred in Wednesday’s game.
This is Embiid’s second penalty outside of technical foul payments since the 2020-21 season. That year he was fined $35,000 for fighting in court.

Philadelphia won the game despite some heated moments. Embiid and Nets guard Ben Simmons exchanged looks and words throughout the night and officials called out six technical fouls.
Embiid lost 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. He averages 33.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
