The full list of serial numbers and box counts can be found here.

The product affected by the recall bears the company number “EST. M-19549” within the USDA control mark.

These items were shipped to merchant, federal, retail and wholesale locations including hotels, restaurants and institutions in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland and Michigan.

The issue was discovered when FSIS performed routine FSIS testing of ground beef from this product and the sample was confirmed positive for E. coli. There are no confirmed reports of side effects from consuming these products.

Most people infected with E. coli develop diarrhea (often bloody) and vomiting, FSIS said.

Dealers and other customers who have purchased these products for further processing should not use or redistribute them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the point of sale.
