The stars have come to play at the 2023 Genesis Invitational in Pacific Palisades. Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay start the weekend with a chance to win after finding their names on the front page of the leaderboard. However, they all look up to another member of the game’s elite: Max Homa, who sits at 10 under.
The 2021 champion followed up his opening round of 7-under 64 on Thursday with a 3-under 68 on Friday. Homa is good for a one-shot lead on Rahm, Lee Hodges and fellow first-rounder Keith Mitchell and will be looking to capture his second Genesis Invitational title in three years.
Tiger Woods, the man who presented Homa with this trophy two years ago, will also be in attendance over the weekend after successfully undercutting the number. Woods is leading a group of players including Justin Thomas, Sungjae Im, Viktor Hovland and Tom Kim all taking massive moving days at Riviera Country Club.
