2020 letter from Rudy Giuliani’s attorney shows efforts to determine he LEGALLY received Hunter’s laptop

An attorney representing former Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani wrote to a Delaware computer repair shop owner in August 2020 touting his ability to get information about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop into “the right places” — and to confirm that he lawfully owned the amazing material he was offering.

The repair shop’s owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, had accessed the laptop, which was filled with personal pictures and business information, after he said the president’s son turned it in in 2019, never to pick it up again.

He then reached out to Giuliani, whose attorney recalled efforts to ensure the information was “lawfully obtained,” according to the 2020 email obtained by .

That set off a series of events, culminating in the release of stories based on the laptop’s contents – to which Hunter’s own legal team responded just this week with a series of letters investigating how the information came out. The letter from Giuliani’s attorney appears to be an attempt to prove that the former New York City mayor and his attorney were seeking assurances that the information was not stolen.

“You allege that you had the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop and turned it over to the FBI,” Giuliani attorney Bob Costello wrote to Mac Issac, who ran the Wilmington business, in which he said a man, who resembled Hunter came to seek computer help.

“You also say that you have copies of the material that you turned over to the FBI and that you want to get that material out to the right people,” he continued.

The two-paragraph email, written by the SDNY’s former deputy chief of crime, said he and Giuliani are “keen to review what you have and learn how it came into your possession.” reached”.

‘Mister. Giuliani and I have been working on this for some time and we are able to get the information to the right places, provided the information is accurate and lawfully obtained,” the email said.

It then makes contact if Mac Isaac is interested, “and I assume you are because you reached out to us.”

The release of the email, which was not previously reported, is intended to challenge a 14-page letter from Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, who requested Delaware AG to conduct an investigation into individuals who had “significantly There was reason to believe that they had violated various Delaware laws in accessing, copying, tampering with, and/or disseminating Mr. Biden’s personal computer information.

The letter demonstrates “the level of care and diligence that the mayor and Bob have shown,” said Giuliani’s spokesman and adviser Ted Goodman.

Hunter Biden’s letter, part of an overall more aggressive public and legal strategy, says Mac Isaac “admitted to gaining access to our Delaware client’s personal computer records without Mr. Biden’s consent.” It said he decided to work with President Donald Trump’s personal attorney to arm Mr. Biden’s personal computer information against his father, Joseph R. Biden, by unlawfully soliciting the supply of Mr. Biden’s personal information .

Biden’s letter calls it a “failed dirty political trick.”

The New York Post began publishing articles based on the laptop weeks before the presidential election.

Abbe Lowell’s letter said that Costello “acknowledged that he accessed the material almost immediately without permission” from Biden. It then references various Delaware criminal statutes, including those dealing with theft, possession of stolen property, and a computer misinformation law.

The letter also quotes Costello’s quote in a well-publicized New York Magazine about the laptop saga.

“You feel like a voyeur,” Costello says while flipping through photos of Hunter’s life on his laptop.

“Mr Costello saw the contents of the hard drive as a political weapon and allegedly called Mr Giuliani and said, ‘You’re not going to believe what I have.’

Costello told the letter was not watertight, citing the repair order signed by Hunter Biden, which says unclaimed property becomes property of the store after 90 days.

‘It does not matter. The assumption is that you’re copying and disclosing something that doesn’t belong to you,” he said. “That makes the whole letter a lie.”

“It shows desperation. Because they now know that the Republicans control Congress, they’re going to go for it and the whole story is going to come out, so Judgment Day is staring them right in the face, and they’re trying desperately to get out of nowhere.’

“No prosecutor in their right mind would look at this and take it seriously,” he said.
